About Us
Mik Artistik is a poet, performer, artist and comedian . With his compadre Jonny Flockton on guitars and and a selection of well heeled bass players , they travel from city to city, frightening and delighting adults and children with their special brand of joyous madness.
Iggy Pop regularly plays their tunes on his BBC 6music radio show, he’s called “Plastic Fox” a “stone old classic”, and even selected “Sweet Leaf of the North” as his favourite song of the last 10 years on American radio station NPR.
BBC Radio 6 music DJ Gideon Coe calls them “The best live act I’ve seen all summer.” British documentary photographer Martin Parr calls them “My favourite band on the planet”. They are Glastonbury Festival royalty, having played the festival for the last twelve years, and were featured artists on the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage. Faust and Chas & Dave are just some of the bands they have had the pleasure of supporting.
From playing live on the catwalk at London Fashion Week to playing at Batley Rugby Club - the Ego trip are loved by all/some.
